Welcome to the homepage for the Department of Geology and Environmental Science. Summer is flying by, with students and faculty scattered about, working on projects and jobs. Our spring trip to California was a great success, although the previous one to west Texas was hard to beat. You can see a video clip from our Utah 2005 trip at the right, and more photos of trips here.

FALL SEMESTER COMING

We're looking forward to greeting the new incoming freshmen, and the upperclassmen are excited about their courses. Ten students in Sophomore Seminar are wondering how their projects will unfold, Field Geology is full with mapping project scheduled until the snow flies, and the Seniors are poised to launching into their capstone research projects.
