Attendance at ALL laboratory sessions is mandatory. As CH111 is a laboratory science course, you are required to complete every laboratory exercise. Any student who fails to complete two or more laboratory exercises may be dropped from the course with a grade of "F". You are expected to be on time to laboratory, to attend the pre-laboratory meeting, and to spend the entire laboratory period working.
You are expected to attend the laboratory section that you are enrolled in. In the event of a planned absence from laboratory (i.e. a soccer game), you are expected to contact your laboratory instructor and arrange to make up the laboratory work during another scheduled laboratory session during the same week.
In the event of a rare, unplanned, EXCUSED absence from lab, you may complete the missed laboratory points during the make-up laboratory period at the end of the semester. In order to be eligible to make up a lab, you must contact your laboratory instructor prior to the regularly-scheduled laboratory session you will miss.
