Mathematics Placement Exam
This exam is multiple choice and is designed to take up to 90 minutes.
There are three possible sections, Arithmetic, Algebra, and Precalculus, with 20 questions each. You will begin with the Arithmetic section. Your answers to the Arithmetic section will determine whether you need to proceed to the Algebra section, and similarly your answers on the Algebra section will determine whether you need to take the Precalculus section.
Make sure you have a pencil and plenty of paper available to work the problems. Arrange a comfortable space to write near your computer.
Do NOT use a calculator. Use of a calculator may result in your math skills appearing better than they truly are. You may then be placed in a course that you may not be able to perform in, resulting in probable failure. We want to ensure that you are placed in the right course for your abilities.
Do NOT press the Back or Reload buttons on your browser while taking any part of the exam.
If your Internet connection is disconnected during the test, don't worry. You may continue with the exam. You will need to reconnect before moving to the next exam section or before submitting your answers for grading.
