Web pages are usually written in HTML (HyperText Markup Language). There are a number of ways to create or convert files to HTML:
-
Use the "Save as HTML" option in your word processing program to save your existing files. This usually works well for simple Web pages.
Note: HTML does not read tabs. Use tables when setting up columns.
-
Use a template for creating a syllabus. We have several templates available including Microsoft Word and Web-ready HTML templates.
Download the syllabus file and open it in MS Word. Fields are already created to enter information. You can change the field names to reflect your specific course then copy and paste text from your current syllabus into the template. Use "Save as HTML" to save it as a Web page.
-
Once your pages are constructed, you will need to copy your files to the faculty Web server.
